We Don't Have A Revenue Problem
Submitted by Anthony P. Archie on 1.19.2005

SACRAMENTO, CA - Last week, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger released his proposed state budget for fiscal year 2005-06 amidst the buzz surrounding his reform agenda. While his rumored budget reforms got the most buzz before his state of the state address, his proposal to overturn teacher tenure and link teacher pay to merit and performance epitomizes his willingness to take on the powerful special interests that control Sacramento.

Submitted by Lawrence J. McQuillan, Ph.D, Anthony Archie on 1.1.2005

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s plan to modernize California’s public-pension system would help re-establish fiscal stability. The current system is consuming larger shares of the state budget and putting taxpayers on the hook for billion-dollar bailouts.
