Marketing and Outreach Manager
Location: Sacramento Office
Reports to: Vice President, Marketing and Communications
Job Description
PRI is seeking a full-time Marketing and Outreach Manager for its Sacramento office. It is a full-time, in-person (non-remote) position based in PRI’s Sacramento office, with occasional travel required. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of classical liberal economics and values, and a firm belief in free markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and overseeing PRI’s outreach program
- Developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing campaigns to increase awareness of PRI’s work and expertise on key California and national issues by elected and appointed officials, policy insiders and stakeholder groups
- Forging strong relationships between PRI and key stakeholders and groups to advance free market policy objectives in California and nationally
- Finding opportunities to build new strategic partnerships between PRI and 3rd party groups and promoting collaboration on research projects, events, and marketing
- Crafting digital marketing strategies to boost PRI’s outreach efforts
- Devising creative and impactful digital content to boost PRI’s outreach efforts
- Working with PRI’s team, external consultants and event partners to strategize and execute outreach events in California and other states
- Overseeing volunteers and interns working on marketing and outreach-related projects and events, as warranted
- Creating and maintaining PRI’s database of outreach contacts
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of and commitment to free-market principles
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in public affairs, digital media, marketing or communications
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Highly motivated, strong work ethic, personal initiative, and hands-on approach
- Ability to balance multiple projects in deadline-driven environment
- BA/BS degree required, graduate degree a plus
Other Desired Skills
- Working knowledge of current California and federal policy issues, politics, and legislative processes
- Familiarity with PRI’s recent state and national policy research
Total Compensation Package
- Depending on the candidate’s experience level and other qualifiers, the range for this position is $67K – $72K annually.
