San Francisco, CA – VentureConnect!2001 announces a competition for Bay Area teens ages 13-18 who have an idea for a business or a non-profit civic venture. Individuals or teams of up to three youths may participate.

During the recent campaign, education took center stage in almost every race. In order to boost student achievement, voters were told, our teachers need to be paid more, not only to attract the best and brightest, but to avoid a massive teacher shortage. These mistaken ideas are all refuted in a new study by the Pacific Research Institute.
