In order to be effective reformers in their districts, school board members must have the best information about policy options, strategies, and what works. Pacific Research Institute's training seminars for school board members provide this much needed information through topic workshops taught by the top experts and practioners in the field.

PRI's Orange County training session for school board members, co-sponsored with the Education Alliance, will address issues such as union contracts and negotiations, how best to instruct English language learners, and effective strategies for communicating withconstituents. Trainers for these session include a veteran school board member, a principal at a high-performing school, an experienced superintendent, and a top education communication expert. Handout materials, including PRI's influential and practical education books and studies, will be available.
