The prices for some prescription drugs are less expensive in Canada than in the United States. Others, specifically the generic medications that account for half of U.S. consumption, are more expensive.

Pharmacy benefit managers, the companies that manage prescription drug benefits for 200 million Americans, are coming under increased scrutiny. On the surface, the issue involves who should get the money that PBMs generate.
