The Miami Herald, May 17, 2006

Letter to the Editor:
SECTION: A; Pg. 24

Re: Chellie Pingree's May 9 Other Views column, Keep Internet free, fast:

Pingree should realize the absurdity of advocating more red tape to keep the Internet free. Internet service providers have upheld net-neutrality principles without the need for government intervention, and consumers would never stand for blocked websites. Pingree seeks a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

policy fellow, Technology Studies,
Pacific Research Institute, San Francisco
