For Immediate Release: May 4, 2004
SAN FRANCISCO - Pacific Research Institute (PRI), a free-market public policy think tank, has hired David Nakayama to head up its development operations. He will direct the Institute's philanthropic advancement programs.
"I am honored to have joined the team at PRI and am committed to insuring the necessary resources for the Institute's continued success," said Nakayama. "By addressing the flaws in the state's 90-year old workers' compensation program, promoting school choice for our children, and insuring the growth of imaginative technology in the free market place, PRI has proven to be an indispensable resource for practical policy solutions."
Prior to joining PRI, Mr. Nakayama served in senior positions with the California Legislature, University of California, Berkeley, and the J. William Fulbright International Center in Washington, D.C. He brings over two decades of fund raising experience from the non-profit, academic, and political arenas.
"With the celebration of PRI's 25th anniversary this year and as we prepare our strategic plan for the next few years, I am delighted that we were able to appoint David Nakayama to the position of Vice-President of Development," said Sally C. Pipes, president and CEO of PRI. "He brings with him tremendous knowledge and expertise that will give us the tools to move PRI forward in to the next exciting phase of our growth." | Contact: | To arrange an interview with project director David Nakayama, please contact Susan Martin at 415/955-6120 or smartin@pacificresearch.org. |
