PRI’s Sally C. Pipes, President, CEO, and Thomas W. Smith Fellow in Health Care Policy, joined the Kirby Nation to discuss the danger of drug price controls and American medical innovation. Pipes explains that roughly 4,500 new drugs are in various stage of development, with an estimated three-quarters of those being first of their kind, and American innovation will allow American companies to respond quicker to pandemics like the novel coronavirus.
