  • Key Legislative Issues Affecting School Districts:  Hear from conference favorite State Rep. Jim Walsh, who will discuss key education issues before the legislature and new state laws that will impact school districts.
  • Recruiting and Retaining the Best Teachers in Washington Classrooms: Policy experts and school board members share their insights on implementing policies surrounding teacher pay and professional development to help districts recruit and retain the best teachers in their district’s classrooms.
  • Implementing the “Parents Bill of Rights”:  Policymakers and school board members discuss the latest developments with the implementation of the “Parents Bill of Rights” law and offer implementation strategies for school board members.
  • Screening of PRI’s “Graduation Day” documentary and panel discussion:  Get a sneak preview of PRI’s upcoming “Graduation Day” documentary on how to address the drop out problem in America (narrated by Mike Rowe), followed by a panel discussion featuring experts and those featured in the film.
