Please join us on Wednesday, October 14 for our 9th Annual Baroness Thatcher Dinner at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach.

 

This year’s gala will be held outdoors at Mar Vista, a separate stand-alone event center with panoramic views. Please note that space is extremely limited due to public health and venue protocols. Registrations will be processed on a first come first serve basis.

We are pleased to offer PRI’s 9th Annual Baroness Thatcher Gala in virtual format. Virtual attendees will be able to view the entire dinner program, including the award presentation and keynote address, and participate in the Q&A session.

Our keynote speaker is columnist and best-selling author Kimberley Strassel. Strassel is a Fox News contributor and writes the “Potomac Watch” column for the Wall Street Journal where she is a member of the editorial board. She is a regular contributor to Sunday political shows, including CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Fox News Sunday, and NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Strassel is the author of two New York Times bestsellers: The Intimidation Game and Resistance (At All Costs).

 

 

 

 

 

The Honorable Daniel Kolkey, a member of PRI’s board of directors and partner in the San Francisco office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, will present this year’s Baroness Thatcher Liberty Award to the Honorable Janice Rogers Brown. Brown is a former United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. She was an Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court from May 2, 1996, until her appointment to the D.C. Circuit. She retired from the federal bench in 2017.

Guests who do not feel comfortable attending in-person or those too far to attend will have the option of attending virtually. The health and wellness of our guests is a priority. We will be taking precautionary and preventative measures to protect against possible exposure to COVID-19. The check-in, reception, and dinner will be subject to social distancing protocols and there will be ample supplies of hand sanitizer throughout the venue. Attendees will receive a detailed email outlining these procedures prior to the event.
