Pipes debate the question, “Should the Government Provide Health Insurance to All Americans?” in a recent debate hosted by the Soho Forum. She debates Professor Gerald Friedman of the University of Massachusetts, whose study on California’s single payer proposal has been used by proponents in the Golden State to push lawmakers to enact “Medicare for All” legislation in the state. Pipes won the debate in a vote among audience members who watched the livestream, garnering 73.3 percent of votes in her favor and picking up the support of 13 percent of audience members versus a poll taken before the debate commenced.
