The Pacific Research Institute invites you to attend a noon luncheon and discussion with Professor Charles Kesler, editor of the Claremont Review of Books, on March 22 at Fashion Island Hotel in Newport Beach. From tax cuts to regulatory reform, the past 12 months have marked a significant shift in American politics. Dr. Kesler will discuss President Trump’s first year in office, including the administration’s domestic and foreign policy successes and challenges. He will also look at the current political landscape and the outlook for the 2018 midterm and 2020 presidential elections.

Charles R. Kesler, Ph.D., is editor of the Claremont Review of Books, Senior Fellow at the Claremont Institute, and Professor of Government at Claremont McKenna College. He received his B.A. in Social Studies and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University.

Dr. Kesler is the author of I Am the Change: Barack Obama and the Crisis of Liberalism (HarperCollins); the editor of Saving the Revolution: The Federalist Papers and the American Founding (Free Press); co-editor, with John B. Kienker, of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness: Ten Years of the Claremont Review of Books (Rowman & Littlefield); and co-editor, with William F. Buckley, Jr., of Keeping the Tablets: Modern American Conservative Thought (HarperCollins). He has written extensively on American constitutionalism and political thought, and his edition of The Federalist Papers (Signet Classics) is the best-selling edition in the country.
