Shelter-in-place orders and lockdowns due to the coronavirus resulted in the largest remote work experiment in recent history, as governments and private industries moved from physical to virtual work almost overnight. This massive shift enlarged glaring holes in cybersecurity and data privacy, and exposed new ones as industries embraced virtual meetings and massive changes in data privacy laws are pushed forward.
PRI has assembled an expert panel to discuss threats to cybersecurity and data privacy from the COVID-19 pandemic, regulations on the books in California, New York, and Congress, and looming threats for individuals and businesses.
Panel:
Bartlett Cleland, Senior Fellow, Technology and Innovation, Pacific Research Institute
Dan Caprio, Co-Founder/Executive Chairman, The Providence Group (Washington, D.C.)
Steve DelBianco, Executive Director, NetChoice
Jim Halpert, Partner, DLA Piper
